Golden Bay Galapagos is situated in privileged location on the Playa de Oro (Golden Beach) on San Cristobal Island, directly in front of the sea, where sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and other animal citizens of Galapagos are seen. We are the only hotel on the island registered and approved by Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism and awarded five stars.

We are located less than ten minutes from the archipelago’s best airport, with daily flights from Quito and Guayaquil. Furthermore, San Cristobal is well connected with the other islands, by flight and by sea, for those who wish stress-free interisland travel.

We offer 19 rooms which permit our guests the possibility to feel themselves a part of the earthly paradise in a magical environment and in high standards of quality while inside the planet’s most famous national park.

Location

Golden Bay Galapagos is located beachfront in a privileged location with a spectacular view of the bay that surrounds Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the administrative and political capital of the Galapagos Islands in the extreme southwest of the island of San Cristobal.

We are located less than a five-minute walk from the city center and its tourist pier, and less than ten minutes from the airport.

One of the principle attractions of the hotel is its direct access to Playa de Oro (Golden Beach), a beach frequented by sealions, endemic iguanas, and birds such as the blue-footed booby and the frigate bird. Golden Bay Galapagos brings the magic and the singularity of the Galapagos Archipelago to your door.

San Cristobal is one of the five largest islands of the Galapagos Archipelago, and geographically speaking, one of the oldest. It is the only one possessing fresh water and also one of the oldest human settlements of the islands with a stable population since the second half of the nineteenth century.
